SUZUKI GT550 running restoration, rare triple 2 stroke SOLD

Here is a great project a complete and genuine 6/1972 Suzuki GT550 showing 10,851 miles ( instruments replaced, new speedo shows 9717 miles )

Frame # GT550-16487 and Engine # GT550-17805

We have tidied the bike up and done some detailing and cleaning

The bike starts easily and runs OK, we cleaned the carbs, we also removed the heads and one barrel and found ring gap good, standard bore,

It is blowing a lot of smoke but should clear up, exhaust is full of oil

The starter motor spins but does not engage, starter clutch will need a clean

We fitted a genuine switch and key and fitted blinkers, all electrics working, will need a battery

Tank is solid, gave it a cheap paint job

Missing one sidecaover new rear brake shoes, chain and sprockets all OK, tyres are old
