SEARS Sabre, PUCH, runs OK, very original, rare and unusual

Here is a very unusual and rare 1965 Sears Sabre,

These were built in Austria by Steyr, Daimler -Puch for sale by the Sears Department store in the USA and sold through their large catalogue of products

This bike is a very good original, unrestored example, matching engine and frame numbers 8406715 ( model # 810-89510 ) and showing only 1186 miles

The bike starts and runs OK, we have not ridden it, but gears all work and most electrics operating OK.

The bike retains all it’s original paint, seat, exhausts etc etc and are all showing their age, still amazing condition for almost 60 years old

Tank has a couple of dents done during shipping, chrome has pitting , alloy is good

There is no key for the toolbox’s

These are a 50cc 2 stroke, left hand change 4 speed. again rare for the age
