KAWASAKI H1 500 original, recon engine, new paint, easy tidy up SOLD

Relisted, we have completed the following work to the bike, repaint sidecovers and ductail

replace rusty front rim with good rim, new tyre and tube, serviced front brakes, new key cut for ignition.

Here we have a 3/1973 Kawasaki H1 500 triple in very original condition, untouched an easy tidy up job

showing 5040 miles,  frame # H1F-14146 and engine # KAE-83983

When we got this bike it was dry seized in the bore from sitting, we dismantled the engine and carried out the following repairs

Striped down engine, cleaned and inspected, replaced a few seals and bearings in the gearbox

fitted 1 x new conrod and big end bearing

Honed the cylinders and fitted new standard  pistons, rings, gudgeon pin and bearing

New gaskets, spark plugs,

The engine fired right up and runs nicely, we have only down minimal running to make sure oil feed bled through

We decided to leave the bike at this stage and let the new owner restore cosmetically as they please

blinkers, horn, lights all working will need a new battery, but starts and runs without battery

Tank is clean new paint

Includes the original tool kit, spare plug carrier under the seat

Exhausts are very good only a few small dents on the L/H side, chrome is good
