HARLEY DAVIDSON 1925 JE, barn find, very original, engine turns over

Here is an excellent and original 1925 Harley Davidson JE, single owner for over 70 years, shed stored last 30 years Australian original bike

Originally from W.A. where the owner was employed by the postal service, then moved to S.A and then 30 years ago to Qld where the bike was stored in a garden shed.

We found this bike 5 km from our workshop in Slacks Creek,

The engine turns over, the wheels roll and brake works,

clutch, foot and hand are working, gear change work but not selecting gears, , I suspect the hand lever operated clutch may have been for postal delivery use, so the ridder could just pull in gear engine running,  jump off then back on and take off

The tank is rusted but still shows original decal, points turn as does the Kickstarter, primary and crankshaft

The valve gear is not working, rims are OK, front has minor rust around bead, oil pump moves

Missing carby, primary covers but everything else looks good guards straight, no rust or dents
