BIMOTA SB3, Rare excellent cond 1000cc Suzuki engine, 101 of 402 built

Here is a very rare 1981 Bimota SB3, showing 10,839 miles

Frame # SB3-101, only 402  were ever produced, using a Suzuki GS1000 engine

Engine # GS1000-101249

This is a very original bike, with all the standard Bimota  special design parts etc, lots of details on the internet, there is mention that only the prototype ones had the star spoked wheels,

They were the fastest production bike in the world when released and hold several records

we  have serviced the engine, and tuned the carbs.

during this task we found that the engine has hi lift cams and shim under bucket adjusters, all signs of high performance, in addition it has 32 mm Dellorto carbs

it has a new battery, new front tyre, rear is OK, standard SB3 exhaust ( stamped )

Frame were unique with the swingarm mounted outside the engine and inline with the front sprocket so no chain adjustment needed

Paintwork is OK, some minor marks and blemished, no evidence of any accident damage
