HESKETH V1000, as new 1981 only 2989 miles, owned for over 30 years

This is a very rare and unique 1981 Hesketh V1000, showing only 2989 miles,

Frame number 383 and engine number 0165

I purchased this bike from George Heggie motorcycles in Sydney in the early 1990’s, with only 1250 miles showing, the original owner brought the bike to Australia when immigrating, he never rode it and unfortunately passed away in a boating accident at which time his wife returned to the UK and left the bike with George Heggie, at which time I purchased it

Only about 170 of these were produced,

I had it registered in QLD and rode in on rare occasions, now showing 2989 miles, never had any problems, despite some negative press

It is 100% original, has not had the EN10 modification which it never needed.

I did contact Mick Broom from Hesketh factory in the UK and purchased a pair of sports mufflers, made a huge difference, both the original and sports mufflers are stamped with Hesketh logo

It has some faded paint on ductail and front mudguard, but no damage,

It has the Hesketh signature on the engine cover

Includes the complete Hesketh tool roll, special plug spanner, Hesketh branded hand towel, Hesketh branded waterless hand cleaner, 2 x spare plugs in containers.

2 x spare aircleaner elements and 2 x oil filters

I have fitted a new battery for the sale, all electrics working correctly
